Day 17

I was a little tired from shooting all day on Thursday and really couldn't think or find something I was interested in shooting.  Then I remembered that I designated Friday as self portrait day. So, I just started messing with the camera and tried to come up with something different.  Hopefully these will get better.

The clouds were awesome today!  I drove over to Marymoor park to find an open area and shot this with a wide angle and a polarizer.

Day 14

It was a strange weather day with rain and then sunshine.  I had the idea of going over to Redmond Town Center and shooting from the upper level and mybe get some colorful unbrellias.  No people with unbrellias but the marking on the road were very graphic.  Shot this with a polarizer for the saturated color look.

Day 13

Went to Oobas for lunch with my camera.  I put the camera on the table and took a sneeky one.  This one reminds me of Hopper's Diner but from the inside, maybe.

Day 12

Went down to the North Creek Park a couple miles from home and tried to get some good golden hour shots.  The moon came out and I stayed there until it was dark.

Day 11

It was a great day to work in the backyard.  I cleaned the pond and after brought the camera out to take some pictures.  Not sure why I like this one but it seem to tell the tale for the day.

Day 10

I was at lunch with my camera and while I was waiting for my food I started playing with my camera.  I remembered that you should do some self portraits once in a while during this projects so I did some timed exposures and just trying to be playful.

Day 9

I was walking over the 85th Street bridge on my way back from taking pictures at lunch and saw some geese swimming in the river.  The reflection of the clouds were so reflective and it looked like the geese were swimming in the clouds.  It was the last picture before I went back to work.

Day 8

I was just at a photo seminar that discussed shooting long timesexposures for waterfalls to get that cotton cany look. So I set up the new tripod in the back yard and gave it a try.  It works!  This issomething like a 30 sec exposure.

Day 7

I went to luch with Victor and on the way back we stopped in at the coffee shop.  I was playing with some long exposures and came up with this.  I put the camera on a table and hit the 2 sec timer.  Victor held still long enough for it to be a in focus.

Day 6

I rode home from work today with Monnette and I wanted to try and take some pictures while I was riding.  It really wasn't the smartest thing to do but I took one over my shoulder and put the camera and called it goo.

Day 5

I was at the top of chair two at Alpental and I saw these two snowboarder sitting in the snow with some fake butts.  I tought it was a great comments about how snowboarders are always sitting on their butts.  Quick snap of a picture and then rode upeer nash which was one of the worst runs of the season.  BTW, this was the last day for chair service at Alpy this season.

Day 4

Michele and me went to the Black Door Studio for the little community art fair they were having.  I saw this huge collection of shoes and it looked like a nive texture.  It was rainy and wet that day so there really didn't seem to be a whole lot of subject matter.

Day 3

I took a quick walk over to the redmond city hall and shot this. Only the third day on this project so I'm still finding my way.

Day 2

I took a walk behind my office building and discovered this old railroad tressle.  Looks like it was burned and some point because there was a lot of charred wood.

Day 1

I was thinking about starting a photo a day project where I would shoot at least one photo a day for a year and post it to a blog.  When I was on my way to work this morning I saw a bald eagle so that convinced me to go ahead with the project.
